If you are conversant with how universities deal, you’d have known that the school fees of freshers are usually higher than that of returning students. In some schools, the fees of returning students are often half of those of the freshers. Sometimes, science students pay more due to the practicals they will carry out.

The cost of these practical apparatuses are usually expensive and the school needs enough fund to get and maintain them. Students who are also dealing in the health sector are not excluded because they also carry out practicals as part of their study.

After the first year, the school fees decrease by a large margin and students start paying anywhere around N70,000 to N80,000 except those under nursing, law and public health who find themselves paying N100,00 tuition fee.

As you can see from the fees mentioned above, you need at least N200,000 in your field as a fresher. The tuition fee plus every other fee on that list amount to N200,000+.

While most federal schools don’t require up to N100,000 in total, Osun state uni school fees demand that each fresher be ready to spend a lot. This is the reason why the school has been named among the most expensive universities in Nigeria time and time again. Beyond that, UNIOSUN is still a good place to study.

State Vs Federal University

If you are familiar with the Nigerian University education system, you must have noticed that federal universities are more affordable than state universities.

This does not mean that some state universities don’t pay fees close to that of federal universities but some of them pay higher fees than federal universities. This has raised some eyebrows over the years. Unfortunately, Osun state university falls among the latter.
